An interesting blend of equal parts Merlot and Petit Verdot, the 2019 Château Bolaire sports an opaque ruby/plum color to go with solid aromatics of ripe red and black fruits supported by notes of graphite, scorched earth, and tobacco. It's a rich, medium to full-bodied, structured wine on the palate, with lots of tannins, yet it brings good mid-palate depth and solid length on the finish. Hide bottles for 3-4 years if you can, and it should keep for well over a decade.

Direct and slightly high-pitched, with a savory note leading off followed by damson plum and cherry flavors. Merlot and Petit Verdot. Drink now. 1,900 cases made, 300 cases imported.
