Susana Balbo founded Crios as a tribute to her children, Jose and Ana. Crios Malbec stands for the courage and hard work that were needed to tackle seemingly insurmountable challenges and elevate a forgotten varietal to world-class status.
Tasting Notes
A fresh, pure expression of the varietal, with aromas of violets, cherries, mocha and spice. Juicy tannins and balanced acidity complement perfectly ripe red fruit flavors, while a subtle hint of oak adds complexity.

Made with grapes from the Uco Valley and 40% aged in used oak, this is a textbook Malbec: purple in hue with clear notes of fresh, intriguing plum and cherry. Juicy in the mouth; the soft structure is kept in line by the young tannins, helping to stretch out the finish. An expressive, sunny red, intense but easygoing.
